You have just finished a short English course in an English-speaking country. You are back home, and you find yourself like one of the teachers very much.
Write a letter to the teacher. In your letter
1. express thanks to your teacher
2. give reasons why you want to thank him/her
3. tell him/her what you plan to do next
Dear Ms. Smith,
I am writing this letter to thank you for teaching me English this summer in Australia. Before I attended your language training course, I was deeply worried that I would not be able to speak fluent English. So I really appreciate that your patience and dedication during these two months have greatly improved my English speaking ability in such a short period.
I am not confident to speak English in the first place, but with the help of your professional teaching skills and encouragement, I finally overcame my shyness, rectified my pronunciation and less scared of speaking in class. When I was back to Beijing, my friends and classmates were all jealous that my oral English has improved so much.
After the fruitful overseas lives and studies, I am now more willing to speak English with native speakers. I will make some friends with foreigners and talk with them. And I hope that my English will help me do well.
Thank you again for your kindness and help.
Yours sincerely,
Pirlo
