As for me I need to look up the dictionary on a daily basis because I need to use English every day, both listening and speaking. So I will meet new words very frequently.
I prefer to use the electronic dictionary. I have installed a dictionary app in my mobile phone so that I can use it anywhere with me.
When I was a student I had got a thick paper dictionary, Oxford Dictionary. It had very detailed explanation for every word, and also had lots of sample sentences so that I could easily know how to the new word.
I think in the future the dictionary can evolve into a smarter device. It can say words and sentences just like a human being; besides, it can help you manage the new words and help you remember them from time to time.
